VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma In Holistic Massage

Course Objectives

Anatomy & Physiology: Students should be able to understand the related knowledge required to perform the massage skills listed effectively, in particular the anatomy and physiology of the body and common diseases and disorders that may affect when a client should or should not receive treatment. Professional Conduct & Business Awareness: Students should be able to understand the needs of clients and when and when not to treat them, contra-indications, referral procedures explaining possible contra-actions and providing aftercare and homecare advice. Holistic Massage: Students should be able to understand how to choose a suitable massage medium for the client’s skin type, classical massage movements and adapting the treatment to the client’s specific needs.

Course Content

ITEC diploma in Holistic Massage Diploma (Level 3) aims to equip the student with an understanding of the human body system, the origins of and benefits of Holistic Massage and other complementary therapies, performing a full body massage within the industry time limit, planning and marketing strategies. It also aims to teach the student to maintain personal hygiene, workplace health and safety and to exhibit their professionalism in their conduct and image as a therapist.
