The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the need for companies to go online and this means that there is an increasing demand for professionals with digital skills. In an article from myCareersFuture, one of the skills in demand is mobile development and e-commerce websites. Many of the e-commerce websites are built using Shopify which uses templates and apps to boost its functionalities. This course aims to use WordPress to build both informational and ecommerce websites. WordPress websites are almost built from scratch with the added use of plugins to convert it into functioning websites. It is highly customizable depending on the organization’s business and marketing needs. This will equip the learner with the skills and knowledge on developing and managing WordPress websites. This gives them an added advantage as web design and development skills are complementary to digital marketing which is in higher demand than ever due to the pandemic.

I highly recommend to anyone who wants to develop a website to attend the WSQ Wordpress training under Richard Ng. It is really essential for any type of business. Richard’s training started off with Wordpress theory and then went into familiarization of the Wordpress dashboard settings, themes, and plugins. It gets more interesting as we progress into our practical sessions. Most of all, he is patient for those who are new in building a website as he goes through each dashboard settings step by step. You will definitely be able to create a functional website on your own without assistance. You wouldn’t want to miss Richard’s training as he shares us more than what’s written in our course notes through his practical experience.
